Playa Flamingo
Sheltered urban beach in Playa Blanca, with a breakwater-protected bay and very calm water.

Playa Flamingo is an urban beach at the western end of Playa Blanca. Its breakwaters create a semi-enclosed bay with very calm, shallow water, comfortable for families with small children. It has fine sand, beach services and seasonal lifeguards, with restaurants and shops a few steps away.
It is easily reached on foot from Playa Blanca or by car, with parking in the area. A more tucked-in, quiet alternative to Playa Dorada, good for a safe swim without surf.
Did you know Playa Flamingo is an artificial beach? Its two breakwaters were built to close off a small bay and hold back the swell, so the water stays almost always calm, one of the reasons it has become the most family-friendly beach in Playa Blanca.
