Playa de Montaña Roja
Playa de Montaña Roja forms part of the Montaña Roja shoreline in the municipality of Yaiza, in the south of Lanzarote, next to the Flamingo, La Mulata and La Campana beaches. The town council records it as 260 metres long with an average width of 7 metres, and fine golden sand. Bathing conditions are described as calm waters, and the stretch includes an anchoring zone.
Playa de Montaña Roja lies on the shoreline of the same name, in the municipality of Yaiza in the south of Lanzarote. The stretch groups several adjoining beaches: Flamingo, La Mulata, La Campana and Montaña Roja itself, all within the Playa Blanca area. The municipal record describes a sand beach 260 metres long with an average width of 7 metres.
The sand is golden and fine grained, and the council classifies bathing conditions as calm waters. The same stretch of coast is marked as an anchoring zone. In the wider Montaña Roja sector the developer of the partial plan is carrying out urbanisation works tied to the general plan of Yaiza, covering network channelling, pavement repair and street surfacing; the council states no effect on access to the beach.
