Playa de Papagayo
Golden-sand cove within the Los Ajaches Natural Monument in southern Lanzarote, with clear, sheltered waters.

Playa de Papagayo is the best known of a group of sheltered coves inside the Los Ajaches Natural Monument, near Playa Blanca. Its golden sand and calm, crystal-clear water make it a highly rated spot for swimming and snorkelling.
Access is via a dirt track with an environmental toll, and there is no development, so the beach keeps its wild character. The view over the Atlantic with Fuerteventura on the horizon is part of its appeal.
