Caleta del Congrio
Secluded golden-sand cove with crystal-clear water in Los Ajaches, the furthest of the Papagayo group.

Caleta del Congrio is one of the most tucked-away coves of the Los Ajaches natural monument. Golden sand, clear water and shelter from the swell make it a calm, uncrowded spot, traditionally used by campers and bathers looking for quiet. There is no natural shade and no services.
Access is along a dirt track from Playa Blanca, inside the zone with an entry control and parking fee (usually card only). Check your hire-car insurance, as it often excludes unpaved roads. Bring water, food and everything you need, because there is nothing at the cove.
