Playa de Las Vistas

Playa de Las Vistas stretches along the seafront of Los Cristianos, in the municipality of Arona, in southern Tenerife. About 850 metres long and close to 120 metres wide, it is one of the largest and best-equipped urban beaches on the Arona coast. Its fine golden sand, artificially brought in, and its sheltered waters make it one of the flagship family beaches of the southern island, integrated into the promenade that links with Los Cristianos and the El Camisón area.

The great appeal of Las Vistas, beyond its size, is the calm of its bathing. The bay is protected from the swell, so the water stays calm for much of the year, something unusual on an island exposed to the Atlantic. Off the shore, a small artificial island holds a fountain that shoots a jet of seawater into the sky, a very recognisable feature that has become a hallmark of the place.

Services and accessibility

As a fully urban beach, Las Vistas has a complete range of services designed for a comfortable stay throughout the day. The beach has surveillance and lifeguard teams, as well as first-aid facilities.

  • Lifeguards: surveillance and rescue service in season.

  • Sunbeds and parasols: rental of loungers and parasols at the edge of the sand.

  • Showers and toilets: facilities spread along the beach.

  • Accessibility: adapted access for people with reduced mobility and equipment for assisted bathing.

  • Promenade: bars, restaurants and shops just metres from the shore.

Blue Flag

Las Vistas is among the Tenerife beaches awarded the Blue Flag in 2026, the distinction granted by ADEAC on behalf of the Foundation for Environmental Education. This recognition vouches for the quality of the bathing water, safety, accessibility and environmental management of the beach, and includes a selective waste-collection system in line with current regulations.

How to get there

The beach is right in the centre of Los Cristianos, a few minutes' walk from the port and the centre of town. It is well connected by the Southern Motorway (TF-1) and has parking nearby, as well as bus stops close by. It is a good base for discovering other beaches in the south of the island.
