Playa de la Pinta

Fine pale sand combined with very little swell explains why La Pinta works above all as a family beach: the Puerto Colón breakwaters cut the groundswell and the water comes in almost flat. Occupancy is high for much of the year, which is to be expected in the middle of the Costa Adeje resort area, and the council runs regular water testing, daily cleaning and a lifeguard service.

One feature of this beach is how much watersport activity is packed into such a short stretch. Inflatable castles on the water, jet ski trips, diving outings and parascending all set off from here and from the adjoining harbour, alongside the pleasure craft operating out of Puerto Colón. Sun loungers and parasols are available, bins and containers are spread along the sand, and the commercial strip behind covers whatever else the day requires.
