Playa de Fañabé
A wide urban beach of golden sand and calm waters in the heart of Costa Adeje, with a promenade and full services.

Playa de Fañabé
Playa de Fañabé is one of the great urban beaches of Costa Adeje, in southwest Tenerife. It is part of the long seafront that links Torviscas with El Duque and has established itself as one of the most comfortable and best-equipped beaches in the municipality of Adeje. About 600 metres long and around 40 metres wide, it is a spacious place, designed for family tourism and for those who want to spend the day with every service within reach. Its sand is pale and golden, brought in, a common feature of the beaches along this southern strip of the island, where the natural substrate is volcanic. The seabed is sandy and the sea is usually calm, with gentle waves thanks to the southern orientation and the general shelter of this coast. This makes it a pleasant spot for calm bathing and for families with children, although you should always follow the instructions of the lifeguard service and the flags of the day. Behind the sand runs a well-kept promenade that follows the whole Costa Adeje coast, lined with hotels, tourist apartments, shops and a notable choice of bars and restaurants. It is a convenient starting point for discovering other beaches in the area on foot along the shore.
Services and facilities
As a top-tier urban beach, Fañabé has a complete range of services designed for visitors' comfort throughout the season.

How to get there and surroundings
The beach is right in the tourist core of Costa Adeje, fully integrated into the coastal promenade. It is easily reached on foot from the area's hotels and apartments, and also by car or bus. Its location, between Torviscas and El Duque, lets you combine bathing with walks along the seafront and the wide range of shops and dining in the municipality of Adeje. To confirm services and up-to-date conditions, it is best to check the island's official tourism sources.
