Charco del Viento
Volcanic natural pool on the La Guancha coast, sheltered by two arms of lava.

Charco del Viento is one of the best-known natural pools in northern Tenerife, set in the Santa Catalina neighbourhood on the La Guancha coast. Two arms of lava shelter the pool from the swell, creating a sheet of crystal-clear, blue-green water.
It is the busiest bathing spot in the municipality and stands out for its relatively easy access. Its name refers to the wind that often blows here, and on days with rough seas visitors should take extra care.
