Finca Los Palmitos is a family-run farm in El Trapiche, Bañaderos, in the municipality of Arucas. It has been devoted to Canary Island bananas for two generations, and its 180,000 square metres now combine the banana plantation with avocado, mango, papaya, fig, orange and lemon trees. The farm is run organically, without pesticides or herbicides, and several animals also live on the estate.
Accommodation is spread across four villas: El Valle and Deluxe sleep up to 10 people, Mirador and Family up to 14. Depending on the villa there is a heated pool, a jacuzzi or a tennis court, with sea and mountain views. An accessible path crosses the whole farm for walking or cycling, with spots for rest and meditation. Guided tours of the farm are offered, and stays can be booked online.
