Residencias SIT4 – Unoporuno, by Gregorio Vieraverified
In Unoporuno, by Gregorio Viera, movement turns into drawing: a map of the trace left by a presence that refuses to be edited. Dancing as if drawing and drawing as if dancing, with guest artists including Raquel Ponce and Enrique Cárdenes, in a performative action about the analogue body in the age of noise. It is presented at the Sala Insular de Teatro in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria as part of Residencias SIT.
Created and artistically directed by Gregorio Viera, with guest artists including Raquel Ponce, Enrique Cárdenes, Carmelo Fernández, Alicia Pardilla, Vijay Mirpuri and Domingo Alemán, Unoporuno is an intimate dance: the moving body as a fleeting trace and a form of self-portrait, dancing to favourite music to look inward and understand the world. The project aims to go beyond entertainment towards an act of self-knowledge and freedom, and treats dance as a possible starting point for taking a political stance. Its subtitle, El Cuerpo Analógico en la Era del Ruido, points to how the body survives amid hyperconnectivity, algorithms and digital disembodiment.
This multidisciplinary performative action is presented as Residencias SIT4 at the Sala Insular de Teatro in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. It lasts about an hour, and tickets cost 10 euros, sold online. This performance starts on Saturday 16 January 2027 at 19:30.
