Palmitos Park
A subtropical ravine near Maspalomas with birds of prey in free flight, dolphins and thousands of palms.

Just a few kilometres from the dunes of Maspalomas, a ravine tucked between the mountains turns into a subtropical oasis. Palmitos Park brings together thousands of palm trees, birds from all over the world and exotic gardens in a valley where time seems to slow down.
The day is built around the shows: the free flight of eagles, vultures and falcons over the heads of the audience, the dolphin exhibition, and the parrot and macaw show full of talking and tricks. Between shows you can wander through the butterfly house, the orchid garden, the aquarium with sharks and reef fish, and one of the largest palm collections in the Canaries that gives the park its name.
There is a story behind all this green: in 2007 a huge wildfire swept through the ravine and the park had to be rebuilt from scratch. What you see today, lush and in bloom, is a rebirth.
Open every day from 10:00 to 18:00. Wear comfortable shoes for the ravine slopes, check the show times as you enter, and set aside a whole morning. A complete plan for families and nature lovers.
