Las hijas de Bernardaverified

The company Taiat Dansa brings 'Las hijas de Bernarda' to the Teatro Pérez Galdós, a dance rereading of 'La casa de Bernarda Alba' by Federico García Lorca. Its creators, Meritxell Barberá and Inma García, hide the mother in order to look closely at the five daughters, their confinement, their anguish and their conflicts.

The sisters watch and observe each other, and dance every action in the light of moral expectations, a subtle control that gives the piece its oppressive intensity. The choreography is by Barberá and García in collaboration with the dancers. The performance lasts around 75 minutes without an interval and doors open 45 minutes beforehand.
