Historic rum distillery founded in 1884 in Arucas, with visitable cellars where barrels signed by international figures are aged.
Destilerías Arehucas is one of the oldest rum distilleries in Europe, dedicated to producing Canary rum in Arucas, Gran Canaria, on Calle Era de San Pedro, 2.
The visit traces the history of rum in the Canaries and the production process —milling, fermentation, distillation and bottling— and includes access to the ageing cellar, with around 4,700 American-oak barrels, and a tasting of its range of rums and spirits.
