Fronteras, de Henry Naylorverified

Culture

At the Teatro Cuyás, with only two characters on stage, this piece of urgent theatre traces the conflict in Syria and the migration crisis through the interwoven monologues of a Western press photographer and a Syrian graffiti artist. Andrés Lima directs Carolina Yuste and Eneko Sagardoy in a Pincheforn Producciones staging. Ninety minutes, listed by the house among its discounted shows.

This is the second of the two performances announced by the Teatro Cuyás for January 2027. The staging rests on the text and on two performers: Carolina Yuste and Eneko Sagardoy bring to life a Syrian teenager who paints on walls and an idealistic Western photographer.

Henry Naylor's script combines realism, boldness, poetry, humour and a strong sense of showmanship, and satirises celebrity culture together with the Western indifference to humanitarian crises that reach viewers daily through television. Tickets cost 23, 20, 15 and 12 euros.
