El entusiasmoverified
Pablo Remón writes and directs a play that asks whether we are the authors of our own lives or only the characters in them. Remón says his people start where the ones in Vanya leave off: they change jobs, they separate, they begin a novel or they join a sect. With Francesco Carril, Natalia Hernández, Raúl Prieto and Marina Salas. Teatro Cuyás, 28 November at 19:30. Runs 2 hours.
Pablo Remón wrote and directed this piece around a single question: are we the authors of our own lives, or only the characters in them. He puts it plainly himself, saying that the people in El entusiasmo begin where the characters in Vanya leave off. They change jobs, they separate, they start writing a novel or they join a sect.
Francesco Carril, Natalia Hernández, Raúl Prieto and Marina Salas carry the cast. The production comes from the Centro Dramático Nacional and Teatro Kamikaze, with Crea SGR involved. It plays at the Teatro Cuyás in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria through the INAEM+PLATEA programme and runs 2 hours. Two nights are scheduled, 27 and 28 November, both at 19:30.
