Safari Diving
Safari Diving is a dive centre right on the beach at Playa Chica in Puerto del Carmen (Tías, Lanzarote), with more than 40 years of history. It welcomes PADI, BSAC and SSI divers and offers shore and boat dives, guided or self-guided, try dives in the sheltered bay, snorkelling, and PADI and BSAC courses in seven languages. Dive trips to the Museo Atlántico underwater museum are also on the programme.
Safari Diving sits right on the beach at Playa Chica in Puerto del Carmen, a few steps from the local dive sites, among them Cathedral, Blue Hole and Red Coral. In front of the centre lies a sheltered house reef used for try dives and for follow-up courses such as Advanced, Rescue and specialties, with deep, reef and wreck dives. Divers go in from the shore or by boat, with a guide or on their own, and the marine life the guides point out includes angel sharks, rays, barracuda, octopus and seahorses.
The programme covers try dives, Bubblemaker, refresher dives, snorkelling and PADI and BSAC courses up to Divemaster, plus the PADI Freediver course. Lessons and briefings are given in English, Spanish, German, Dutch, French, Italian and Polish. Together with Dive College Lanzarote in Playa Blanca, the centre runs dives at the Museo Atlántico, with programmes for certified divers and beginners. Groups get help with accommodation and airport transfers, and there is a transport service from hotels in Puerto del Carmen and Puerto Calero.
