PAPAGAYO WATERSPORTS
Papagayo Watersports is a diving and water sports centre in Playa Blanca, Lanzarote, by Las Coloradas beach. It offers boat dives, SSI recreational diving courses, try dives for beginners and an experience that lets non-divers visit the Museo Atlántico underwater museum. It also runs guided kayak and snorkelling trips to the Papagayo beaches and rents out kayaks, stand-up paddle boards and snorkelling gear.
Papagayo Watersports is a diving and water sports centre in Playa Blanca, Lanzarote, located inside the Sandos Papagayo hotel; the easiest way there is on foot along the Las Coloradas beach promenade, about five minutes from the car park just past the Gran Tagoro hotel. It runs boat dives, SSI recreational diving courses for all levels and the Try Scuba programme, a two-hour session with around 40 minutes underwater alongside an instructor, for which no experience is needed beyond basic swimming.
The Museo Atlántico experience is designed for non-divers: a first dive from the shore to learn the basics, then a second by boat to the underwater museum, with a basic SSI certification included. The guided kayak trip heads to the Papagayo beaches, with about 45 minutes of paddling each way and an hour on the beach for snorkelling. The centre also rents single, double, triple and four-seater kayaks, stand-up paddle boards and snorkelling gear.
