Mojo Dive - Tu centro de buceo en Lanzarote
A PADI and SSI dive centre facing the sea on Avenida de las Playas, in Puerto del Carmen. It works with small groups and covers everything from a first try dive to professional divemaster training, taking in advanced courses and specialities such as deep, night and wreck diving and nitrox. The premises include a wet room, a compressor room, its own dive shop, a terrace and reception, with nitrox service and certified air quality.
The centre's stated approach is small groups, without mixing levels except on very straightforward dives. On try dives they work with a maximum of three people per instructor and take part in from the age of eight, with depths matched to age and no previous experience needed. Introductory programmes come in several formats depending on the number of dives, and the progression then runs through scuba diver, open water, advanced, rescue and first aid courses up to divemaster.
The diving is not confined to the doorstep. Besides the classic Puerto del Carmen sites, such as the Fariones drop off, La Catedral, Waikiki, the Cueva de las Gambas and the wrecks, the centre travels to the Playa Blanca area, the north coast, La Graciosa and the underwater museum by Jason deCaires. Outings need to be booked, and it helps to state your certification level and logged dives in advance.
