Diving Center Punta Amanay
Diving Center Punta Amanay is an official SSI dive centre in Corralejo, Fuerteventura, split between two nearby premises: a training centre with an indoor pool, classrooms and a compressor room, and an excursion centre for certified divers. It runs daily dives at the twenty or more sites around the Isla de Lobos nature park, and teaches courses from a first try dive through to professional level.
The centre works out of two premises some fifty metres apart. The training centre, of around 250 square metres, has its own indoor pool for exercises, theory classrooms with audiovisual equipment, changing rooms with hot showers, an equipment store and a compressor room. The excursion centre, of around 150 square metres, serves already certified divers and adds a repair workshop and a nitrox membrane.
It stands about two hundred metres from Corralejo harbour, where two 7.5 metre rigid inflatable boats built for diving are moored; they reach the sites around the Isla de Lobos in under a quarter of an hour. Beginner courses ask for no previous experience and run from Basic Diver to Open Water Diver, combining theory, pool practice and dives at Lobos, with advanced and professional levels above them. The team teaches in up to seven languages.
