It brews 100% arabica coffee from Cafés Dromedario, filter coffee included, and the menu has the barraquito and the zaperoco, sandwiches and toasts for breakfast, a 100% vegan set lunch and homemade pastries for the afternoon.
Breslau Café is a specialty coffee shop at Calle Tomás Zerolo 2, in the centre of La Orotava in the north of Tenerife. Its coffee is 100% arabica from Cafés Dromedario, and besides espresso it makes filter coffee in a V60, an Aeropress and as batch brew. The menu has the barraquito and the zaperoco, along with sandwiches and toasts for breakfast, a 100% vegan set lunch and homemade pastries for the afternoon.
The name is a tribute. Egon Wende was born in Breslau, today Wrocław, in 1890; he settled in Tenerife in 1914 and founded the Confitería Café Taoro in La Orotava, known as Casa Egon, which has been open since 1916 a short walk from here. The café itself traces the origin of its story back to that house.
