Viewpoint designed by César Manrique above Valle Gran Rey.
A roadside viewpoint on one of the wide bends of the GM-1, between the Yorima and Arure tunnels, on the descent into Valle Gran Rey. The semicircular platform is shaped like a round cheese, which is where the name comes from. From the railing the whole valley opens up: terraced fields, palm groves and the road zigzagging down to La Calera and the shore. It sits roughly 550 metres above the sea.
