Mirador de Abrante
Glass-floor viewpoint over Agulo, La Gomera.

The Mirador de Abrante is in Agulo, on the north coast of La Gomera, more than 600 metres above the village. Its most striking feature is a glass overhang about seven metres long that projects out over the precipice: walking on the transparent floor gives the feeling of floating in the air, with Agulo right beneath your feet and, on clear days, the silhouette of Teide outlined across the sea. The access to the walkway is inside the viewpoint's restaurant. You get there by car and there is parking. The name Abrante comes from an old Gomeran legend, that of a young maiden of the island.

The Mirador de La Punta looks over the valley of Hermigua from the GM-1 road, roughly halfway between Hermigua and Agulo. Below lie Playa de Santa Catalina, the pillars of the old loading crane and a carpet of banana plantations climbing the terraces. Montaña del Hueco and the headland of Hermigua close the background, and across the water Tenerife appears with Teide on a clear day.
