Charco Azul (Agaete)

Charco Azul is a waterfall-fed natural pool tucked among cliffs in the El Risco area of the La Aldea de San Nicolás municipality, in western Gran Canaria. It is reached by a short but very scenic walk through the ravine, with volcanic rock walls rising on either side. The clear-toned water and the rugged setting give it a special character.
It is a popular bathing spot on the west coast, perfect for cooling off after the walk and taking in the ravine scenery. Sturdy footwear for the trail, water and respect for the natural surroundings are advisable, especially during busier periods.
