Museo Etnográfico Tanit
An ethnographic museum in San Bartolomé, in the heart of Lanzarote, recreating the island's traditional rural life inside an 18th-century cellar.

The Tanit Ethnographic Museum in San Bartolomé (Lanzarote) gathers the island's cultural heritage in a historic winery over 300 years old, the former Las Vegas bodega, one of the first on Lanzarote, in one of the island's oldest villages.
Its collections document the life of Lanzarote's people from the conquest of the Canaries to the arrival of tourism: work and everyday tools, traditional dress, idols and objects of local folklore, and kitchen artefacts. The museum, which also runs cultural activities, is recognised as a Centre of Tourist and Cultural Interest by the Cabildo of Lanzarote.

Monumento al Campesino, escultura de César Manrique
At the Peña de Tajaste, in the geographical centre of Lanzarote, stands Fecundidad, the sculpture designed by César Manrique and built by Jesús Soto in 1968. Its fifteen metres are assembled from the water tanks of old ships, welded together and painted white against black volcanic ground. It is a tribute to the island farmer and to the water that made his agriculture possible. The Casa Museo del Campesino stands beside it.
