El Grifo - Museo del Vino
A wine museum at the heart of the El Grifo winery in San Bartolomé, with origins documented to 1775 and a collection of historic winemaking machinery amid the vineyards of La Geria.

The El Grifo Wine Museum is part of Bodegas El Grifo, in San Bartolomé (Lanzarote), on the LZ-30 road within the La Geria wine region. Founded in 1775, it is one of the oldest wineries in Spain, an origin confirmed by the foundational stone engraved with that date, uncovered during restoration work in 1986.
The museum gathers historic machinery, old wine tanks, tools and documents that reflect over 250 years of winemaking adapted to the island's volcanic conditions. It preserves the original 1775 press, built in volcanic rock, where grapes were pressed by hand. Among its pieces are historic wines such as the 1881 Malvasía Volcánica.
The visit is rounded out with guided tours, tastings, a wine bar and a wine shop at the winery itself, surrounded by the La Geria landscape of vineyards protected by semicircular stone walls.
