The Cenobio de Valerón is an Aboriginal communal granary with more than 300 silos carved into the rock, in the municipality of Santa María de Guía. This archaeological site was used to store the community's harvests and remained in use until the European conquest of the 15th century, making it an exceptional testimony to the pre-Hispanic life of Gran Canaria.
It can be visited from Tuesday to Sunday, open from 10 to 17 h in winter and 10 to 18 h in summer. General admission costs 3 EUR, valid for one year, and reduced entry is 2 EUR. The route has interpretive panels in three languages and parking.
