Casa-Museo Tomás Morales
The Casa-Museo Tomás Morales occupies the poet's birthplace and family home, a mid nineteenth century building in the Villa de Moya. It is a public institution under the culture department of the Cabildo de Gran Canaria, which bought the house from his heirs in 1966 and opened it as a house museum in October 1976. The permanent rooms present the life and work of Tomás Morales together with the literary context of his time.

The museum stands in the Villa de Moya, in the house where the poet Tomás Morales was born and where his family lived. The mid nineteenth century building was bought from his heirs by the Cabildo de Gran Canaria in 1966 and opened as a house museum in October 1976. The permanent display sets out the life and work of the poet together with the historical and literary context in which part of his writing took shape.
The collection brings together unique pieces and documents, alongside a bibliographic and documentary holding from the island library and a specialist research library. Guided visits are aimed at schools, groups and associations, by prior registration and in small parties. The route runs through the rooms of the house and pauses at objects, books and photographs linked to the poet and his circle.
