The Casa-Museo León y Castillo occupies the birthplace of statesman Fernando León y Castillo, in the historic centre of Telde. Run by the Cabildo of Gran Canaria and free to enter, it preserves period furniture, artworks and an extensive archive of more than twelve thousand historical documents tied to the family.
The visit leads through restored rooms that evoke 19th-century Canarian bourgeois life and introduce a leading diplomat of his era. The documentary rooms reward those seeking historical context, while the surrounding old town of Telde makes it easy to extend the outing with a stroll through its streets.
