Sendero Paisaje Lunar (PR-TF 72)
Circular route from Vilaflor through Canary pine forest to the Paisaje Lunar, a cluster of eroded cones that look like another planet. A demanding trail.

The Sendero Paisaje Lunar (PR-TF 72) sets off from Vilaflor de Chasna, in the high south of Tenerife, following a circular route through the Canary pine forest. Its goal is the Paisaje Lunar at Los Escurriales, a cluster of pale tuff cones sculpted by erosion that give the place an almost otherworldly look. Part of the way follows the historic Camino Real de Chasna.
It is a demanding trail, with real elevation and a good distance to cover, suited to walkers in reasonable shape. The hike rewards you with the shade and scent of the pines, the eroded formations of the Paisaje Lunar and wide views over the south of the island. Bring water, proper footwear and sun protection.
