El Bosque de Los Enigmas
El Bosque de Los Enigmas is a walking area near Tegueste, in the north east of Tenerife. You reach it from the main road and cover the route on foot. There are no facilities or services at the starting point, so bring water, proper walking shoes and a warm layer: on the northern side of the island mist and damp move in quickly. Plan your return while there is still daylight.
El Bosque de Los Enigmas is a walking area near Tegueste, in the north east of Tenerife. Access is from the main road and the route is covered on foot. There is no shop, drinking fountain or toilet at the starting point, so you need to arrive with everything you need in your pack.
Wear walking shoes with a good grip and carry enough water and a warm layer. On the northern side of the island mist and damp arrive without warning and the temperature drops as soon as you step into the woods, even when the coast is sunny. Check the forecast before you set off, plan your return while there is daylight and tell someone which route you are taking. Stick to the marked paths, do not cut corners and carry out everything you carry in, because the ground here takes a long time to recover.
