Sendero Jardina
The Jardina path climbs the northeastern edge of La Laguna, at the point where the farmed Aguere valley gives way to the Anaga Rural Park, a Unesco biosphere reserve since 2015. It runs past vegetable plots, eucalyptus and pockets of laurel forest, with the town spread out behind you. The walking is easy and needs no mountain experience. Parking at the entrance is limited and fills up quickly at weekends.

The trail sets off from Camino Jardina on the northeastern edge of San Cristóbal de La Laguna, in the transition zone between the farmland of the Aguere valley and the ridges of the Anaga Rural Park, which Unesco declared a biosphere reserve in 2015. The scenery shifts quickly. You leave between vegetable plots, dry stone walls and eucalyptus, then move into something damper and more enclosed, with tree heath, laurels and ferns wherever the old laurel forest has held on. That makes it a good first taste of Anaga for anyone who does not want to drive far from the city.
Difficulty is low and the route suits walkers without mountain experience; clearings open onto views across La Laguna and its plain. The Mirador de Jardina, on the TF-12 road nearby, looks over the same valley and is the easiest landmark to navigate by. Plan for cloud. On this side of the island the trade winds keep the forest soaked for much of the year, the earth underfoot turns slippery and visibility can close in within minutes, so shoes with grip and a windproof jacket are sensible. The small car park by the entrance fills up early at weekends.
