Chinamada y Mirador de Aguaide
A hamlet of cave houses deep in the Anaga massif and one of Tenerife's most admired hikes, with dizzying viewpoints over the coast.

Chinamada is a distinctive hamlet of cave houses carved into the hillside, deep within the Anaga massif. The trail linking it with Punta del Hidalgo and the Mirador de Aguaide is one of the most admired routes in northern Tenerife.
The round trip runs about 13 km with roughly 700 m of ascent, taking some 5 to 6 hours. The Mirador de Aguaide rewards you with spectacular views over the coast and the ravine. Some sections are steep and exposed with little shade, so set out early and carry plenty of water.
