Barranco de los Cernícalos (SL-03)
Trail through a ravine with a permanent stream and small waterfalls, one of Gran Canaria's few stable watercourses.

The Barranco de los Cernícalos, between Telde and Valsequillo, is one of Gran Canaria's coolest and greenest routes. Unlike much of the island, water runs here almost year-round, forming small waterfalls and pools surrounded by willows, reeds and riverside vegetation.
The moderately demanding, decently long trail runs in shade for much of its length, making it pleasant even on hot days. After rain the ground can turn muddy and slippery, so proper footwear is essential. It is part of the Los Marteles Special Nature Reserve.
