Barranco de las Vacas
Short ravine of eroded tuff walls resembling the canyons of the American West.
A small ravine near Agüimes in south-east Gran Canaria, where water and wind have carved tuff walls into flowing shapes and warm tones, often compared to Antelope Canyon in the United States. Access is a short, easy walk, though the narrow section is small and tends to fill with visitors, so an early start helps. It should not be visited during heavy rain because of the risk of sudden flash floods in the channel.
