Escape Room Tenerife
An escape room in Santa Cruz de Tenerife with a game based on a true island story: El Descubrimiento de la Mente takes you back to 1916 and the Casa Amarilla in Puerto de la Cruz, where the German scientist Wolfgang Köhler studied his chimpanzees while suspected of spying. It is for 2 to 12 players, lasts about 80 minutes and the minimum age is 12.
In El Descubrimiento de la Mente the team slips into the Casa Amarilla in 1916, while Köhler and Manolo, the local man who looked after the chimpanzees, are out. British intelligence suspects that the experiments hide a collaboration with the German Empire, and you have to search the house, solve its puzzles and get out before they come back. The difficulty is medium to high.
The game was built with historians, psychologists and engineers, using period objects, coins, music and texts alongside reproductions, and sets out to share a little known Canarian story. It takes 2 to 12 players, lasts about 80 minutes and requires a minimum age of 12. The website announces two more games and takes requests for birthdays, companies, stag and hen parties and school groups.
