Playa de Tufia
Small beach of a former fishing village in Telde, popular for snorkelling.

Tufia is a sheltered beach beside an old fishing hamlet on the east coast of Telde. The sand is dark and the water is usually clear and calm, with rocky seabeds that make it ideal for snorkelling. It is a simple spot without large tourist services, keeping the charm of a seafaring village. Parking is limited, so in summer and at weekends it is best to arrive early.
Did you know? On the headland above the beach lies an important pre-Hispanic aboriginal settlement, with caves, stone houses and burial mounds, protected as a Site of Cultural Interest since 1973.

Playa de Ojos de Garza
A semi-urban beach in the municipality of Telde, on the eastern coast of Gran Canaria, with some 450 metres of fine golden sand mixed with pebbles and a moderate swell. Houses of the old fishing quarter come almost down to the water and a short seafront promenade runs along it. This is the closest beach to Gran Canaria airport, so aircraft pass low over the bay on their way in and out.
