Playa de Las Marañuelas
An urban beach of around 279 metres in Arguineguín, in the municipality of Mogán, with dark sand. It is an everyday beach, away from the large tourist resorts of the south. It appears in the beach listing of the Mogán municipal tourism portal.
Las Marañuelas is the beach of Arguineguín, a stretch of about 279 metres of dark sand set inside the town itself. Its character is urban and local: you reach it from the streets of the village and the atmosphere is set by residents rather than by the large complexes of southern Gran Canaria. The dark tone of the sand is the usual one on the volcanic beaches of this coast. It is included in the beach listing of the Mogán municipal tourism portal.
Since it lies within Arguineguín, it is walkable from almost anywhere in the town and cars are left in the nearby streets. Being so close to the centre, a swim can be combined with the port promenade and the restaurants around it. It is a reasonable choice for anyone wanting a quiet swim without driving to the busier beaches of Mogán. Check the state of the sea and the flags before getting in, as on any open shoreline.
