Urban Costa Teguise beach and Lanzarote's windsurf reference, Blue Flag with regular summer wind.

Islas24

Playa de las Cucharas is the main beach of Costa Teguise and Lanzarote's leading windsurf spot. Around 700 metres of golden sand and turquoise water, with a sheltered bay ideal for beginners and choppier areas for the more experienced. The wind is more regular between May and August, when it fills with enthusiasts and schools.

It has a Blue Flag, lifeguards, showers, toilets, parking and good transport links, with bars and restaurants nearby. A good choice both for a relaxed beach day and for learning or practising wind sports.

Did you know? Its reputation reaches world level: Las Cucharas hosts one of the freestyle rounds of the professional PWA (Professional Windsurfers Association) circuit.
