Playa Bastián
A beach of around 375 metres in Costa Teguise, in the municipality of Teguise, with sand between golden and dark and stretches of rock. It sits next to the seafront promenade and has a barbecue area, which gives it a strongly family feel. It is the least busy of the main Costa Teguise beaches and appears on the official list of Lanzarote beaches.

Bastián is the quiet option along the Costa Teguise seafront: it runs for about 375 metres and stays slightly outside the circuit of Las Cucharas and El Jablillo. The sand mixes golden and dark tones, and the shoreline is not uniform, since rocky sections break up the sand. That alternation leaves sheltered corners and also rocky bottoms worth bearing in mind before getting into the water. The promenade passes behind it and links the beach on foot with the rest of the resort shoreline.
The atmosphere is local and family oriented, helped by the barbecue area, which fills up on busier days. Being inside Costa Teguise, it is an easy walk from the apartments of the resort, and anyone arriving by car parks in the nearby streets. When swimming with children it makes sense to pick the sandy stretch and keep away from the rocky edges, especially in a rough sea. It is included in the official inventory of Lanzarote beaches, so its upkeep and signage fall to the municipality.
