Playa de la Verga lies on the shoreline of the municipality of Mogán, in the south west of Gran Canaria. The island's official tourism portal mentions it when describing Playa de Patalavaca, which sits between Arguineguín and la Verga, so the three beaches follow one another along the same stretch of southern coast.

Mogán Town Council describes its shoreline as sixteen kilometres of coast holding more than twenty beaches of very different character, some secluded and others easy to reach, with pale or volcanic sand and calm, clear water. Playa de la Verga belongs to that group of beaches on the south west of Gran Canaria, on a densely built up coastal strip that is well served by road.

Playa de Puntalarga

Playa de Puntalarga is a small bay on the coastline of Fuencaliente de La Palma, about a hundred metres long and twenty metres wide, with a mix of sand and callao pebbles. Small rocky outcrops shelter it from the sea and the swell stays moderate. A natural rock pool lies right beside the beach, and the whole corner is ringed by fishermen's huts, with fishermen often at work there.
