Playa de la Garita lies in Arrieta, on the north east coast of Lanzarote, in the municipality of Haría. It is a golden sand beach open to the Atlantic, awarded the blue flag in recent seasons, and one of the reference beaches of the north, well away from the big resort areas in the south.
The village puts its services right at the top of the sand, and the promenade links the beach with the harbour and the restaurants of Arrieta, so a whole day here needs no car. Being open to the ocean, swell and wind are more noticeable than on the sheltered southern beaches. It has close to 1,300 Google Maps reviews with an average of 4.5 stars.
