At Roque Prieto, next to Santa Maria de Guia, a cluster of natural pools of varying depth is fitted with a breakwater and steps for easy access to the water. It is a quiet bathing spot on the north coast, with the rock that gives the place its name as a backdrop. As with any Canary rock pool, check the sea state and tide before swimming.

Playa de Puntalarga
Playa de Puntalarga is a small bay on the coastline of Fuencaliente de La Palma, about a hundred metres long and twenty metres wide, with a mix of sand and callao pebbles. Small rocky outcrops shelter it from the sea and the swell stays moderate. A natural rock pool lies right beside the beach, and the whole corner is ringed by fishermen's huts, with fishermen often at work there.
