Charco Manso
Volcanic natural pool with rock arches on the north coast of El Hierro.

On the north coast of El Hierro, near Echedo, Charco Manso is a set of natural pools of volcanic origin surrounded by rock arches, caves and lava tubes that form one of the island's most striking geological corners. Its name refers to the calm of the pool, though the setting becomes spectacular when the sea breaks hard. It is an isolated, wild spot, much appreciated for bathing and photography on calm-sea days.
