Parador de Cruz de Tejeda

The parador sits at Cruz de Tejeda, around 1,500 metres up and close to the geometric centre of Gran Canaria, where the roads climbing from Las Palmas, San Mateo, Artenara and Tejeda meet. From the pass the view opens over the great Tejeda basin, with Roque Nublo and Roque Bentayga standing out against it. It works as a base for walking the summit country: several waymarked trails start here, among them the S-50 towards Artenara and the descent through the Barranco de la Mina.
