Casa Rural La Molina
A rural guesthouse in Máguez, a quiet village in the north of Lanzarote that sits away from the busier tourist routes, at the foot of the La Corona volcano. The house has more than a century of history behind it: it was built in the early twentieth century and is recognised by the Cabildo de Lanzarote as historic heritage. The setting is agricultural and village based, very different from the resort coast in the south of the island.
La Molina stands in Máguez, in the municipality of Haría, in the northern half of Lanzarote. This is an area of small villages and farmland, dominated by the outline of the La Corona volcano, and it lies off the usual route of anyone who only visits the southern coast. The house itself describes its location as set apart from the tourist routes.
The building dates from the early twentieth century and has more than a hundred years of use behind it. The Cabildo de Lanzarote recognises it as historic heritage, which gives an idea of the traditional architecture preserved in it.
