Camping La Tejita (Montaña Roja)
This campsite, next to La Tejita beach and inside the Montaña Roja special nature reserve, has been closed since 29 February 2024. The Cabildo de Tenerife shut the site down when the concession ran out and the operating company chose not to renew it. It has taken no bookings since.

The site itself has not gone away. The Cabildo is working on reopening it under its own management, subject to municipal permits: in July 2026 the island council was aiming for this summer. Until that happens, the campsite is not operating.
If you are looking for somewhere to stay overnight in a motorhome on Tenerife, the Cabildo runs 31 marked pitches across four locations on the island, among them Las Lajas in Adeje, which went from 2 to 11 pitches in July 2026. La Tejita beach itself is open and free to visit.
