Khadija Amin is an Afghan journalist and activist specialising in human rights. She presented the news on Afghanistan's public television and, after the Taliban returned to power in 2021, had to flee the country and take refuge in Spain. Since then she has devoted her journalism and activism to denouncing violations of the rights of Afghan women and girls.
With the journalist Mónica Nion she co-wrote Sin velo: Una mujer libre contra los talibanes, an autobiographical book about her escape from Afghanistan, her fight for freedom and women's rights, and the effort to get her children back. At the event she talks with Javier Sánchez, a writer at 5W. Admission is free, and the talk takes place in the Sala Josefina Plá of the Centro Bibliotecario Insular in Puerto del Rosario on Monday 9 November 2026 at 20:00.
