Noche de Finaos in Tenteniguada, with folk music and roasted chestnuts
Valsequillo celebrates the Noche de Finaos on Saturday 31 October from 20:30 in the Plaza Nueva of Tenteniguada. The evening centres on an Encuentro de Música Popular with the Parranda de las Escuelas Artísticas Municipales de Valsequillo, A.F. Los Lomitos de Correa and the Parranda Medio Jigo P’al Kilo, together with a popular chestnut roast to share as a community.
The Noche de Finaos is a celebration tied to memory and to the popular culture of the Day of the Dead, and this year Valsequillo holds it in Tenteniguada. It is organised by Valsequillo town council with the collaboration of the Asociación Cultural de Tenteniguada, and the evening pays tribute to Canarian identity through traditional music.
The event takes place on Saturday 31 October 2026 from 20:30 in the Plaza Nueva of Tenteniguada. The Encuentro de Música Popular features the Parranda de las Escuelas Artísticas Municipales de Valsequillo, A.F. Los Lomitos de Correa and the Parranda Medio Jigo P’al Kilo. Alongside the music there is the traditional popular chestnut roast, a meeting point for sharing in the warmth of local traditions.
