Jazz Otoño 2026 – Robert Kessler Trioverified
As part of Jazz Otoño 2026, guitarist and composer Robert Kessler, born in Jena in 1984, brings his trio to the Sala Insular de Teatro in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, with Andreas Henze on double bass and Tobias Backhaus on drums. His music blends contemporary jazz with world music, blues and pop. With this line-up he recorded the album Bloodline; his most recent record is Little People.
Robert Kessler is a guitarist and composer, born in Jena in 1984, whose music blends contemporary jazz with world music, blues and pop. He studied at the Hanns Eisler School of Music and at the Jazz Institute Berlin with Kurt Rosenwinkel and Jiggs Whigham, and made his debut with the album Jasmin. With double bassist Andreas Henze and drummer Tobias Backhaus he recorded the trio album Bloodline; his latest release, Little People, puts the warm tone of his archtop guitar and the close listening between the three players in the foreground.
The concert is part of Jazz Otoño 2026 and takes place at the Sala Insular de Teatro in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. It lasts about an hour and a quarter and is recommended for ages 14 and over. Tickets cost 10 euros and are sold online. The concert starts at 19:30 on Friday 6 November 2026.
