Gala Drag Queen del Carnaval de Las Palmas de Gran Canaria 2027verified

The Drag Queen Gala is one of the reference points of the Las Palmas de Gran Canaria Carnival, and in 2023 it marked its 25th anniversary after establishing itself as one of the great nights of the programme. According to the official Carnival website, it is the longest-established Drag contest and a statement of the open, boundary-pushing and diverse character of the festivities, as well as a distinctive feature of the city in the Carnival's promotion abroad. The gala is broadcast on television. The 2026 Drag Queen was Drag La Tacones.

The 2027 gala takes place on Friday 19 February 2027 at 21:00, on the stage in Parque Santa Catalina, Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. Beforehand, on Friday 12 February 2027 at 21:00, the Drag Queen preselection is held on the same stage: the number of entrants usually exceeds thirty, so the finalists have to be determined first. The event is organised by Las Palmas de Gran Canaria City Council.
